WEEE Service Charge Uplift Expected from 2026
The Environment Agency has announced plans to increase service charges under the Waste (Miscellaneous) (England) Charging Scheme 2018 by 7.5%, following a recent consultation. The uplift is pending final approval and will be set to take effect for the 2026 compliance year.
The revised fees will impact WEEE Producer Compliance Scheme charges and producer registration fees, with changes coming into force after the updated scheme is published, which is expected by 1 August 2025.
Under the new charges:
